Hardware

We upgrade fasteners to 304 marine-grade stainless steel, one size larger so the new bolt bites into the metal. Sometimes due to the rust on the old fasteners, we are unable to remove them. In this case, they are cut down with a wire-wheel, sanded, and painted with a rust inhibiting primer before we spray them with the rest of the cage. We then drill a new bolt next to the old one to maintain the structural integrity of the cage.
